Grant Avenue Bridge Rehabilitation CIP Project No. 09-003: Fed Aid Project No. BHLS-5361(023)

Description

Widen and rehabilitate the existing bridge to accommodate bike lanes and sidewalks, replace substandard bridge railings, and stabilize the banks and channel of Novato Creek to minimize scouring of bridge foundations.

Location

Grant Avenue between 8th Street and Virginia Avenue

Benefit

Improve streetscape conditions and safety of pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists.

Schedule

The anticipated timeline for construction is April 2024 through January 2025. Please note that all timelines are tentative and subject to change.

Permitted work hours are 7am to 5pm, Monday - Friday

Cost

$3,650,000 including a $3,200,000 federal Highway Bridge Program grant.
