A community sponsorship application must be submitted for review at least one month before the event to be considered for funding. To request a sponsorship application, please contact aluong@novato.org. An introductory call may be scheduled for both parties to discuss qualifications and answer any questions. Once we touch base on your event and receive your application, the City’s internal departments will provide a sponsorship quote. The application will be finalized and approved by the Assistant City Manager.

The City will only provide in-kind sponsorships when supporting a partnered event. Sponsorship requests will be provided based on programs estimated cost upon request and final budgetary approval. The Novato Police Department offers services such as street closures and security for events. Public Works offers assistance for parking signs as well as any barricades, cones, and general barriers for event use. Parks and Recreation can assist in facility and equipment rentals if needed. All types of sponsorships are included in the application. Organizations supported by the City are expected to explain all the needs of the sponsorship requested.
