Description

The Novato General Plan 2035 was adopted by the Novato City Council on October 27, 2020 (City Council Resolution No. 2020-068). The land use designation assigned to a number of parcels throughout the City was changed through the General Plan update process, as shown on General Plan Land Use Map GP-1 Land Use Designations, and the planning division is now proposing a variety of zoning map amendments for those parcels for consistency with the General Plan as required by State law.

No development is proposed at this time as part of these zoning map amendments. Future projects on these parcels will be individually considered as necessary. A complete list of the proposed zoning map amendments proposed can be found in Table 1, below.

Please refer to the Planning Commission staff report package of September 28, 2020 for the 2035 General Plan update for information as to why land use designations for each parcel listed below were proposed (and ultimately approved).
