The Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) is the official map of a community on which FEMA has delineated both the special hazard areas and the risk premium zones applicable to the community. For more information on FIRMs go to https://msc.fema.gov/portal.

Beginning May 4, 2009 new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) became effective. The new maps are a digital product, also known as DFIRMs. See the DFIRM Fact Sheet for more information.
