The City of Novato Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department is pleased to announce that the Margaret Todd Senior Center, 1560 Hill Road, will reopen beginning on Monday, August 2 during regular business hours on Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. The Center will also be open on evenings and weekends for scheduled programs and events.
Due to state and local public health orders, the Margaret Todd Senior Center closed to the public at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic for the health and safety of the Novato community. The City, in partnership with the Novato Senior Citizens Club, welcomes our community back for the return of game groups, classes, programs and other activities. Center memberships from 2020 will be honored through the remainder of 2021. For those that are not 2020 members, 2021 membership applications will be accepted beginning Monday, August 2.
“Many of our community members and staff have been looking forward to the reopening of our senior center,” said PRCS Deputy Director Katie Gauntlett. “We know our community will be happy to see the return of some of their favorite classes and activities. Additional programs will be announced in our Fall Activity Guide in August.”
A Welcome Back Social will be held on Monday, August 2 from 1-3pm immediately following the Novato Senior Citizens Club’s weekly meeting at noon. Everyone is welcome to attend for an opportunity to learn more about all that Margaret Todd Senior Center and Novato Senior Citizens Club has to offer!
The City of Novato continues to abide by State and County Health COVID-19 health protocols. Facial coverings are required for those who are unvaccinated and recommended indoors for all visitors. This guidance is subject to change. We appreciate your understanding and compliance with these protocols for the safety of our community.
