The City of Novato is cancelling this weekend’s Living Streets program in Old Town Novato previously scheduled for Friday – Sunday, October 22-24, evenings due to a forecast for significant (and much-needed) rain.
The Living Streets program will resume for Halloween weekend (weather permitting), with two blocks of Grant Avenue closed to vehicle traffic from Machin to Reichert Avenues from 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Saturday & Sunday October 29-31.
The Living Streets Program aims to create a safe, pedestrian and bicycle-friendly shopping, dining, and recreation environment on Grant Avenue, between Machin and Reichert Avenues, every Friday, Saturday & Sunday evening from 5pm to midnight through the months of April to October. This year, before cooler weather sets in, the City is temporarily extending the program through the weekend of November 19-21.
