Hamilton Pool will open for the Summer 2021 season on June 1. Novato’s Hamilton Pool is located at 203 El Bonito and offers Aquatic Program Services through a partnership with the City of San Rafael. This year, reservations will be required for all visits through an online reservation system to ensure sufficient space for social distancing, as well as implementation of required cleaning protocols. 

Reservations for Lap & Recreation Swim

For reservations during the month of June, the priority reservation period for Novato residents will open on May 17 at 9am, and non-residents can make reservations starting May 24 at 9am. For July reservations, the reservation period for Novato residents will open on June 14 at 9am and June 21 at 9am for non-residents. 

Reservations can be made for 45-minute lap swim sessions and 90-minute recreation swim sessions. Please note, you may only reserve one lap swim and one recreation swim time slot per day. Additionally, we are unable to provide season passes or punch passes this year. 

Private Swim Lessons

The Hamilton Pool will also be offering private swim lessons this season! Lessons will be 30 minutes in length and will be available for registration beginning May 24.

Safety Protocols

The safety of our community and staff remains our top priority. Pool protocols and participation have been modified in accordance with Marin County and California Department of Public Health guidelines. Program conditions are subject to change based on protocol modifications in local, state, and federal direction related to COVID-19.

• Face coverings are required for anyone in the pool area, regardless of vaccination status, but are not required while in the water.
• Instructors will be wearing face shields in the water.
• Prior to the lesson, children and parents will be screened to confirm they are not experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms and have not been exposed to anyone who has COVID-19.
• Instructors are required to complete a pre-screen prior to coming to work. 
• High touch and commonly used items are sanitized between each lesson. 
• After a lesson, students and parents will need to exit the pool.
