This free event, the first in our 2018 Green Film Series, will be held on January 18th, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at Novato City Hall, 901 Sherman Avenue.
Filmmaker Jamie Redford embarks on a colorful personal journey into the dawn of the clean energy era as it creates jobs, turns profits, and makes communities stronger and healthier across the US. Unlikely entrepreneurs in communities from Georgetown, TX to Buffalo, NY reveal pioneering clean energy solutions while Jamie's discovery of how clean energy works, and what it means at a personal level, becomes the audiences' discovery too. Reaching well beyond a great story of technology and innovation, "Happening" explores issues of human resilience, social justice, and embracing the future.
The screening will be followed by a facilitated community conversation and a discussion on 100% renewable options for residents and businesses.
Doors open at 6pm and there will be time to browse information from local community organizations prior to the screening at 6:30pm. RSVP with Eventbrite
Please join the City of Novato and community partners Sustainable Novato, Environmental Forum of Marin, and Resilient Neighborhoods for a special screening of Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution.
