The Downtown Streets Team (DST) will be hosting a community discussion on Monday, November 13 from 6:30-7:30pm at the Hamilton Community Center, 503 Palm Drive, regarding a Proposed Pilot Mobile Shower Program at the HUD Parcel located off of State Access Road and south of Homeward Bound of Marin. The purpose of this discussion is to obtain community input on this proposed program.
DST has proposed a mobile shower program, for people experiencing homelessness, three weekday mornings between the hours of 5:30-9am during a 90-day pilot period at the HUD Parcel. DST will be responsible for all onsite operations.
DST provides homeless and low-income men and women with the resources they need to rebuild their lives with the goal to transition them into employment. Earlier this year, they launched a program in Novato providing our community’s unhoused men and women with work experience and case management services.
