Concert on the Green: Mitch Polzak & The Royal Deuces

Free Outdoor Summer Concert for All Ages!

This is the third, and final, concert in our 2016 outdoor Concert on the Green series. Come enjoy this FREE concert in the heart of Downtown Novato. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and invite your friends. These concerts are great for the whole family to enjoy!

This high energy three piece ensemble performs Rockabilly from the late '50's Sun Records era, guitar instrumentals from influences such as Joe Maphis, Merle Travis, and Chet Atkins, to a wide a range of Bakersfield Honky Tonk and Truck Driving music. Mitch also adds the 5 String Banjo to the show, bringing in the influence of Earl Scruggs and Ralph Stanley. Bassist Vance Ehlers adds a driving slap technique rivaled by few worldwide. Drummer Rick Quisol brings years of experience to fill out the sound with rock solid rhythm and tight vocal harmonies. The band has entertained audiences at the legendary Viva Las Vegas Rock n Roll event in Las Vegas, Hot August Nights in Reno for the Peppermill Casino, The Shake the Shack Festival in Seattle, and many other engagements stateside as well as appearances in Holland, Belgium, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
