General Registration Information:

Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover Card, Cash, or Checks, - payable to City of Novato.

Residents must reside within the Novato city limits or own property within the city limits. Non-residents are Novato P.O. box addresses, and anyone residing outside the Novato city limits.

To start using our NovatoFun E-Connect online registration system, call 415-899-8279, or 415-899-8290 or e-mail to request your secure family PIN and client barcode numbers. Information needed to obtain a PIN and barcode numbers are: family member names, birth dates, current school grades, street address, city, zip code, home/work/cell phone numbers, and e-mail address.

Drop-off, fax, and mail-in registrations are processed in random order as received. Please have both sides of the registration form completely filled out and signed, and include payment. Incomplete registrations and/or having incorrect payment amounts will be returned unprocessed.

Names will be placed on a waiting list for any program that is full. Programs may be canceled due to lack of enrollment. Do not assume you are enrolled in a program until you receive a confirmation receipt.

Program participants are responsible for payment at the time of registration for activities, programs, and rental facilities. A $15 fee will be charged for returned checks. It is the City of Novato’s policy to take progressive action in resolving any outstanding account balance, including utilizing the services of a collection agency to obtain payment.

Financial Assistance may be available to those who qualify. Please call 899-8977 for more information.


Full refunds will be issued for a program altered or canceled by the City, or if a participant is dissatisfied with any program. Refund requests must be made no later than one working day after the program ends. Refund and/or program transfer requests must be accompanied by a Refund/Transfer request form. A Refund/Transfer request form, and our Refund Policy are also available at our customer service locations.

Registrations paid by cash or check will be refunded by a City check. Credit card purchases will be refunded to the credit card used to register for the program. It may take up to three weeks to receive refund checks. Refunds may be prorated to cover nonrefundable costs such as service fees, partial class attendance, materials, prepaid transportation, and tickets. Once the following programs have started, no refunds will be given: day camps, gymnastics camps, specialty camps, or one-day programs.

Financial Assistance:


Parents/guardians of children under 18 years old who reside within the Novato city limits may apply for a financial assistance scholarship. Families meeting the financial eligibility requirements are currently eligible to receive a $200 scholarship. Funding is available on a “first come, first served basis.” For more information, call 415-899-8977, or 415-899-8279, or 415-899-8290. Seniors meeting the financial eligibility requirements are currently eligible to receive a maximum of $50 per year.
