Zoning Administrator

The Zoning Administrator is a member of the City Planning staff. The role of the Zoning Administrator is to take action on Zoning Ordinance interpretations, Temporary Use Permits, Use Permits, Variances and other responsibilities assigned by the City Manager. The responsibilities of the Zoning Adminstrator may also be carried out by department staff under the supervision of the Zoning Administrator.

 

Meetings:

2nd & 4th Thursdays - 2:00 p.m.

Responsibility: Perform the duties and functions presented to the Zoning Adminstrator in Chapter 19 of the Novato Municipal Code, including action on land use permit applications per Section 19.40.020, Table 4-1. The responsibilities of the Zoning Adminstrator may also be carried out by department staff under the supervision of the Zoning Administrator.
Authorization: Novato Municipal Code Section 19.50.060
Tenure: Permanent until otherwise appointed by the City Manager
