The City of Novato welcomes community participation in local government through its Boards, Commissions & Committees. If you have an interest in serving your community, applying for a position on a city board, commission or committee is a great place to start. If you are interested in serving review the list below to learn more about a specific board and submit an application.

Members are appointed by the City Council to City boards, commissions and committees for two year terms that begin on September 1 each year. The City Council accepts applications year round for their Boards, Commissions and Committees. Annual reviews are held in the spring, however, many boards, commissions and committees have vacancies throughout the year. Visit our Current Vacancies page for more information.
